Attorney Brown grew up in Klotz Ville, Louisiana, a small town about 40 miles southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana. She is the third child of a sibling group of seven. The first to attend and finish college among her siblings, she was taught very early the importance of attaining a college education.
After graduating from Grace King High School in Metairie, Louisiana, Mrs. Brown immediately enrolled in Grambling State University where she graduated with honors. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Knowing that in order to command a competitive salary and marketability in this career field she needed to further her education, she enrolled at Florida State University. There she earned a Masters Degree in Social Work and again graduated near the top of her class.
Mrs. Browns first career choice, Social Worker, lasted for nine years, before she decided a career change was imperative to reach one of her long-term goals in life, becoming an attorney. She was accepted to and enrolled at Texas Southern Universitys Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1996. Once again she graduated with honors in May 1999 and sat for the Alabama State Bar in July 1999. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama in September 1999.
Attorney Brown has been licensed for ten years and have been practicing criminal law in Mobile, Alabama for eight years. Prior to stepping out into private practice in 2004, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for Mobile County. While employed as an Assistant DA, she prosecuted cases in Juvenile, District and Circuit Court. In Circuit Court, Ms. Brown tried over fifteen cases, including an attempted murder case with co-counsel and was successful in winning 80% of those cases.
In todays society having access to a competent attorney is more crucial than ever before. In accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama and the United States Constitution every citizen in America charged with a crime is entitled to be defended by an attorney of his or her choosing or be provided one free of charge. Mrs. Brown believe that everyone deserves justice and it is her ethical as well as moral responsibility to provide nothing less than a vigorous defense for her clients at all times. Mrs. Brown primary objective is to ensure that they are accorded every opportunity and advantage the legal system allows. In this philosophy she will not waver for its the only way that she know of to remain true to her clients and herself. Mrs. Brown is married and they have one son. Mrs. Brown is very family oriented and is very close to her sibling group of seven.
